In 1969, Tudor introduced a divers’ watch with a blue dial and bezel, which quickly gained popularity so much so that the other sporty watches in the collection were soon attired in blue. This trend became a lasting aesthetic hallmark known as “Tudor Blue”. Even the French navy adopted the navy shade for its Tudor divers’ watches during the 1970s. To pay homage, Tudor introduces the Black Bay Fifty-Eight "Navy Blue" that features a navy blue dial and bezel insert.
The Black Bay Fifty-Eight "Navy Blue" is offered with either a riveted 316L steel bracelet or a blue “soft touch” strap. But for those who prefer something different, the ticker is also available with a navy-blue fabric strap made by Julien Faure. The 150-year-old family business based in St Etienne, France produces the fabric straps for Tudor timepieces. And this year is especially significant because it marks the 10th anniversary between both companies. The Black Bay Fifty-Eight "Navy Blue" is driven by the Manufacture Calibre MT5402, which has about 70 hours of power reserve.
