The Pelagos FXD is intrinsically intertwined with TUDOR’s storied association with the US Navy. For decades, starting in the late 1950s, the US Navy issued TUDOR diving watches with SEAL teams relying on these precise instruments from their commission in 1962 until the late 1980s.

In terms of aesthetics, the watch harks back to the TUDOR divers’ watches of the late 1960s to early 1980s used by the US Navy. Historically, US Navy divers often fitted their TUDORwatches with one-piece nylon fabric straps. The Pelagos FXD pays tribute to this tradition: The watch comes with a one-piece green fabric with a red central thread, along with an additional black embossed fabric-motif rubber strap.
Under the hood, the Manufacture Calibre MT5602 powers the Pelagos FXD and boasts a 70-hour “weekend-proof” power reserve. The Pelagos FXD “Alinghi Red Bull Racing Edition” measures 42mm in width, while the Pelagos FXD Chrono version is 43mm wide. Both sport an Alinghi Red Bull Racing Team Blue matte dial and luminescent ceramic composite hour markers, making the watches perfect companions for maritime challenges.
