For versatility, the Black Bay GMT is offered with a choice between a stainless-steel bracelet and a fabric strap.
Exciting TUDOR models were unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2023

Late March this year, TUDOR unveiled a slew of novelties at the Watches & Wonders trade show held in Geneva, Switzerland. The iconic Black Bay and new Royal models took centre stage among these innovative timepieces.

Being the astute watchmaker it is, TUDOR recognises the need to create different offerings for various audience groups. With that in mind, the new Black Bay GMT and Royal variants were introduced.

Black Bay GMT

The highly popular Black Bay GMT line continues to grow as TUDOR introduces a new variant this year. The new addition features an elegant opaline dial, a shade that perfectly complements its distinctive burgundy and deep blue bezel.

The opaline dial adds a touch of charm and improves the legibility of the Black Bay GMT. With its silvery-white hue, the dial creates a striking contrast against its darkened hands and markers. This combination lends a vintage-inspired look to the watch, which harks back to the mid-century boom in commercial aviation.

At the heart of the Black Bay GMT watch is its GMT function, a highly practical multiple time-zone complication.

It allows the user to keep track of local time while simultaneously monitoring two additional time zones – a perfect tool for the frequent flyer. The red “Snowflake” GMT hand – a signature of the brand – rotates around the dial in 24 hours, in one-hour increments. The bidirectional rotatable bezel is calibrated to match the 24-hour format, with the burgundy section indicating daylight hours and the blue section representing night-time hours.

Powering the Black Bay GMT is the Manufacture Calibre MT5652. Developed specifically for the model, the COSC-certified movement features a jumping hour hand, retrograde date setting, and a silicon balance spring. Its robust construction ensures exceptional precision within a tolerance range of 6 seconds (-2/+4) on a fully assembled watch. Additionally, its impressive 70-hour power reserve makes it “weekend-proof” – allowing it to operate continuously and smoothly on Monday morning even after the wearer takes it off last Friday evening.

Known for its versatile, sport-chic watches, the TUDOR Royal range introduces two captivating dial variants: chocolate brown and salmon.

These new additions join the original dial colour family of black, silver, champagne and blue. With the sunray motif radiating from the centre of the dial, the elegance of the Royal line is greatly enhanced, on top of the wearability and desirability of the model too.

All TUDOR Royal watch dials come with applied numerals or a combination of applied numerals and eight diamond-set hour markers.
Watch enthusiasts will appreciate the signature notched bezel that lends the range its distinctive look.

Standing out from the collection are two creations: The 41mm version, which has a dial that displays both the day and date, as well as the 28mm one that comes with a diamond-set bezel and a mother-of-pearl dial. The former makes for the perfect dress watch for work, while the latter is a dainty timepiece for the sophisticated woman.
