With the year-end festivities coming, it is indeed the season to be jolly. No matter if you’re looking for the perfect gift for a loved one or to add a touch of glitz to your festive outfits, TUDOR has you covered with the Black Bay 31, 36, 39, 41 S&G.
A recent addition to the family, the Black Bay 31, 36, 39, 41 S&G models retain the quintessential flair of the Black Bay while adding a more elegant and dressier feel to the collection, deviating from TUDOR’s signature tool watch aesthetic.
Polished and domed case sides lend the models a softer and more sophisticated look. Adding to the classy appeal is the new curved and polished winding crown. Unlike its sibling watches in the collection that sport a satin-brushed, matte bezel, the yellow gold ones on the Black Bay 31, 36, 39 and 41 S&G are polished to give an additional touch of shimmer.
Make your presence as a power couple felt with a pair of watches from this collection – the diamond-set bezels add a touch of pizzazz, making it the perfect wrist companion for your significant other.
What is a TUDOR timepiece if it doesn’t combine matinee good looks with functionality? Its five-link bracelet in stylish steel and yellow gold with the TUDOR “T-fit” clasp allows for optimum comfort, and a convenient rapid adjustment on the wrist.
With the different case sizes come the need for movements of varying dimensions too. Housed in the Black Bay 31, 36, 39 and 41 S&G models are three families of self-winding Manufacture Calibres – large (Calibres MT5601 and MT5602), medium (Calibre MT5400) and small (Calibre MT5201).
The Black Bay 31 S&G model is equipped with Calibre MT5201; the Black Bay 36 S&G variant comes with the Calibre MT5400 (36 mm), the Black Bay 36 S&G watch is fitted with Calibre MT5602, and the Black Bay 41 S&G is driven by the Calibre MT5601. It is important to note that Calibre MT5201 was specifically developed by TUDOR to power watches of smaller dimensions.
Like the rest of its well-crafted components, TUDOR Manufacture Calibres are built to the highest standards of robustness, longevity, reliability and precision. Each movement is certified as a chronometer by the Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC), with its performance going beyond the usual standards.
Another key feature that TUDOR has been able to consistently maintain in its large and medium-sized TUDOR Manufacture Calibres is the concept of “weekend-proof” – the power reserve is about 70 hours, which means the wearer can take off the watch off on a Friday evening and head back to the office on Monday morning strapped to his wrist without having to reset it. For the Manufacture Calibre MT5201, the power reserve is approximately 50 hours – a sizeable power reserve for a movement that small.
And as a means to give wearers peace of mind, the four models boast a five-year transferable guarantee with no requirement for registration or periodic maintenance checks.
Kee Hing Hung wishes all clients, readers and watch enthusiasts Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
